This weekend, America pays special tribute to our military veterans in honor of their service to our country. Throughout the history of the SEIU, our members have served honorably in every branch of the U.S. Armed Forces.

This year is special as we observe the 100th anniversary since the end of World War I on November 11th, 1918, a struggle in which American forces registered more than 100,000 casualties in the fight to defend our collective and individual freedoms.

We feel privileged to count on so many of you, our veterans, within our own service ranks at District 1199. Your brothers and sisters in the union respectfully salute you. In times of struggle and times of peace, your service will never be forgotten.
