Union health care workers from the New England Health Care Employees Union, SEIU 1199NE, held an info picket at the Capitol and then hand deliver a petition letter from our rank-and file executive board members to Gov. Ned Lamont’s office.

What:   Info picket and delivery of petition letter to fund long-term care service so that workers can count on affordable health care and a pension, and refill 1,000 vacant state health care and mental health positions

When:             Tuesday, April 26, starting at 11:00 AM 

Where:           Connecticut State Capitol; 210 Capitol Avenue in Hartford

Who:               SEIU District 1199 New England health care workers including nursing home caregivers, group home direct support staff, home care PCAs and state workers from multiple agencies
