Nursing home workers were active on the picket line at multiple Genesis nursing home facilities in demand of a new union contract that follows the guidelines of the Long-Term Care Workers Bill of Rights. Negotiations are currently ongoing with Genesis, whose contract with the union expired on March 15, 2021. If a new contract agreement is not reached and if the state does not provide the assistance necessary to fund a new agreement, the union will call for a strike vote in the next couple of weeks. Information pickets ran at the following facilities:
