As a union representative and organizer for the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 919, Jorge has been a longtime advocate for working class families in Connecticut. Jorge was also one of the leaders in the Stop & Shop strike victory last year, and played an integral role in 1199’s Arden House fightback to keep the facility operating. If elected, Jorge will continue to support 1199 members as we fight for livable wages and benefits for all.

Marilyn has served in the state senate since being elected in 2014. While in office, Marilyn has been a steadfast advocate for workers’ rights. Even during the COVID pandemic, Marilyn has led efforts to support frontline health care workers as they battle this deadly virus. Amy has served both as an elected city council member in Wethersfield as well as Wethersfield’s Mayor.
