Effective March 31, 2020, Gov. Lamont announced that Connecticut residents economically impacted by COVID-19 may receive 90-day grace periods to make mortgage payments, while financial institutions agree not to negatively impact credit reports as a result of accepting payment relief.
“Our Union thanks Governor Lamont for listening to the demands of working people and those in need of economic support. We are going through a very serious health crisis, as well as an economic crisis. We must ensure that working people have the tools to overcome both our health and economic concerns,” said President Rob Baril, District 1199, SEIU.
